Monitoring & Evaluation and Learning
Development programme are increasingly complex. With the current focus on qualitative changes and outcomes, an effective monitoring and evaluation system is an increasingly essential management tool to assess the quality of a programme or project. This course explores how an effective monitoring and evaluation system can be built in order to grasp and learn from experiences in your programme.
Course objectives
This course will enable you to
· analyse how MfDR and the new aid agenda are influencing the monitoring and evaluation of projects
· explore new methodologies in M&E, such as outcome mapping and most significant change
· build and sustain a monitoring system that provides relevant information to stakeholders at all stages of the project cycle
· explore how M&E output can be used in learning organisations

- Defining the aim of a monitoring system
- Defining information needs and designing the information flow
- Monitoring organisations
- Performance criteria for organisations
- Types of evaluations and criteria for evaluations
- Drawing up terms of reference
- Sustaining M&E systems
- Personal Development Plan
Course fee: Euro 825 (or Euro 1495 for the combination of RBM and M&E)
